Evolution Map

Maximum performance. No limits. For serious builds only.

The Evolution Map is our most aggressive calibration, developed for Smart Roadster 452 owners who have built or are building a performance-oriented car. Every performance parameter has been unlocked and recalibrated to extract the absolute maximum from the M160 engine.

Turbo boost management is aggressive throughout the rev range. The overboost strategy has been completely rewritten with no conservative factory margins. Ignition advance has been fully unlocked and optimised for maximum torque at every RPM. All factory limiters — boost, rev, temperature thresholds — have been removed or raised.

The cooling system has been fully recalibrated: electric fans activate earlier and more aggressively to maintain coolant temperature below 90°C under sustained high-load conditions.

What changes:

• Aggressive turbo boost map — maximum pressure throughout the range
• Fully rewritten overboost strategy — no factory restrictions
• Ignition advance completely unlocked and optimised
• All boost, rev and temperature limiters removed or raised
• Fan activation map recalibrated for sustained high-performance use

⚠️ IMPORTANT — CLUTCH WARNING

The Evolution Map significantly increases torque output. The standard Smart Roadster 452 clutch is not designed to handle this level of torque reliably.

Before or immediately after installing this map, we strongly recommend:

• Clutch condition: Must be in perfect condition — any slipping, juddering or wear will be dramatically accelerated.
• Recommended upgrade: Fit an uprated clutch rated to at least 250 Nm of torque. Standard Smart Roadster clutch kits are not sufficient.
• Softouch actuator: Should be freshly calibrated after clutch replacement.

Installing the Evolution Map on a car with a standard or worn clutch will very likely result in clutch damage or failure. This is not a warranty issue — it is a predictable mechanical consequence of the increased torque.
